W/Mo "Prophet's Path" farming build *smooth & easy*
Here's the build I use to farm outside Augury Rock in Prophet's Path.
With this build I can solo the whole area and make 5-10k a run and this does NOT include purple and gold drops or dyes.
This build also allows you to farm inside/outside the Dunes of Despair and Destiny's Gorge. And outside Beacon's Perch, Camp Rankor and Droknar's Forge.
This build allows you to watch TV while farming and is pretty damn simple and straight forward.
I use Gladiator's armor with Ascalon helm and this here sword and shield.
Here's the other sword I use if I want to increase the bleeding.
Here's the skills I use...
Riposte
Galrath Slash
Pure Strike
Deadly Riposte
Healing Hands
Vigorous Spirit
Balthazar's Spirit
Mending
I have tried switching out Healing Hands with Gladiator's Defense and its not worth it and you can't stay alive to kill certain mobs... and them mobs do drop good.
I can almost solo Kepkhet Marrowfeast with this build, I swapped in Savage Slash, thing is I can't keep her interupted or do enough damage to overcome her heals. Maybe someone else can figure out how to solo her.
I have run this build with an axe, it's just not as fast with killing since the Riposte skills really spam well and help kill fast.
Hope this helps someone farm the desert and get their armor or whatever they want.
PS: I use dont feel no pain Hydra farming build when farming the otherside of Augury Rock his build is really amazing and just works so well against the Hydra, I have solo 8 hydra at once with his build.

The "Scarab Nest Builder" and "Marrow Scarab" drop golds and purples and I can kill all of them except the few that stand around Kepkhet and don't move.
The Minotaurs still drop purples and the poor few griffons left drop a gold once in a while.
There's also at least 2-4 bosses that spawn on each run that drop ok, not to mention the black dyes that drop.
The Scarabs also drop alot Fiery Dragon Swords, gold and purple and alot people still like them swords and will pay more than the merchant will.
Alot nice shields still drop, like the Aegis and Skeleton shields.
To be honest thou I don't run this area for the drops.... I run it because if you run the whole area you can make 5-10k in gold and this does not include the purple, gold drops or dyes.
I don't care if Anet nerf this anymore, I just thought I share this build that can run the whole of Prophet's Path.

I have fraps and will make a video, I'm not sure where I will or can host it so please give some places you all like to download them from.
If all else fails I can make a torrent of it and host it that way
I should have mentioned you dont use Deadly Riposte on anything but the Griffons and Minotaurs.
Riposte, Galrath Slash and Pure Strike are what you use to kill the Scarabs.
I always go for the Nest builders first.
When killing the Nest builder I wait on using Riposte. This way the Marrows wont Vampiric touch alot.
You keep Vigorous Spirit up of course and you only use Healing Hands if they put conditions on you are you just feel you want your health topped off.
As for the Elementals, you just weather the barrage of being blinded and knocked down and stay alive and hit them when your not blinded.
And for the Minotaurs, you should have no problems with them, but if you happen to get over 8 at a time on you then wait until your health is less than 400 and then use Healing Hands, this way by the time they get you back down to under 400 Healing Hands will be ready again and of course 1-3 should have died already.
The only Boss that gives any trouble being killed is the Monk griffon boss... I go beat on it and then lead it over towards the Queen and the Scarabs and let them help me kill it.
Since I beat on it and hit it first I get the drop for it
Of course I have tried to kill the Queen, but I can't keep her interupted or do enough damage to overcome her heals, this build is wonderful tanking build by the way for a 2-3 man Queen farming group.
Just swap in Savage Slash for say Deadly Riposte.
Besides this you just go around the desert and kill the stuff, then after this go to Camp Rankor or Beacon's Perch and farm there, and farm the Hydra using dont feel no pain build.
Keep switching it up so the farming thing does not kick in and ruin your drops.
Nothing worse than seeing all whites drops and barely any gold or hides, horns etc dropping.
I have over farmed places before and seen it happen, you have to lay off the spot and go somewhere else and farm there.
Another thing that helps with this build is learning to use Vigorous Spirit as a cover enchant encase you fight or farm things that can strip your enchants.
If I missed something just ask and I'll see if I can help.
EDIT:
one important thing people... after you kill something, if there's a Scarab around you have to move away from the dead body and then keep fighting
this way your enchants won't be stripped
this goes for anything that does an AOE on you... just move away from the spot so it does not hit you and keep fighting

Thats up to you.
You have to decide if you're gonna do the whole desert or just certain parts.
I guess doing the scarabs, rockshots and griffons and minotaurs takes about an hour. Then there's the stone elementals, worm and the floating eye things and other mesmer mob.
Killing the stone elementals and mesmer mobs adds another 30min. The mesmer mobs dont drop good and the elementals or a pain to do, but doing them is what gets ya that 2-5k more in gold.
Just watch some tv and get in a groove, before ya you know it you have several nice items or mods to sale and over 40k in less than 3hrs.

Um, smiting prayers adrenaline break point is 4, not three... I saw that in the forums around here somewhere. just FYI... Wish I could find the link for it. So putting those points in to smiting for the balthazars is kind of a waste if you ask me.

Defy Pain maybe along with Healing Breeze?
I dunno, fighting 4 marrow scarabs and a nest builder can get crazy when if they do the conditions and health degen on you. You have to beable to ride it out and not be interupted.
Same goes for the Stone Elementals, you have to ride out the nuking they give ya.
Healing Hands can take you from almost dead to full health and keep you there till it ends.

I tried this build in Prophets Path, I could hardly bear the Marrow pains in the ass thingies.... Too much Degen, Even with healing hands, without an enchantment sword mod, 10 seconds with the 25 second recharge... Wasn't enough to keep me healed. Even with Vig spirit up the entire time.
Additionally: I really like this build for other places other than there too.

I took some time off from GW and went and tried out WoW and EQ2.
I also waited on Factions to come out and settle down...
After come back I saw some changes to certain area's of the game and also Anet nerf and/or just flat out removed alot quest reward items, collector/crafter items, and if they didn't remove them they changed their stats so they sucked.
One of my favorite places to farm while watching TV was Prophet's Pass and outside Beacon's Perch and Camp Rankcor.
Doing either of these places has changed and become slower, but the reward is there if you can still do it.
Enough rambling... anyway after coming back and seeing the desert changed so much I came up with this build so I could still run the whole area and kill everything still. This is slower area to farm since the changes but I still like it and think its worth it.
Doing just certains parts is faster, but I have had every type of creature in Prophet's Pass drop a gold item or black dye at one time or another.
Just keep your farming areas switched up so it does not go dry and start dropping all whites or nothing at all.
There is no reason you should not beable to clear 5k in a run through Prophet's Pass and this does not include the nice drops you should get.
If you can use Vigorous Spirit as a cover enchant and use Healing Hands right you can farm outside Camp Rankcor with this build, You might wanna switch in Gash or something else for the Riposte skills so you can take down the Dolyak Masters.
And outside Beacon's Perch like your going to run to Droknar Forge has nice drops, them Ice Elemental's have dropped alot nice gold weapons for me, and if I have not done any farming in a while I have got 3 nice gold items from just one group before.
Been playing alot Factions and doing quests and missions there.... this seems to help to reset the anti farming thing and keep the drops good.
